Elna Frederick

The topic of online/computer art has come up quite a bit in conversation lately and has been sparking some ideas in our collaborative brain here at the gallery. I was extremely excited when I came across the work of Elna Frederick, who uses gifs to create animated works of art. With all the technology available to us now it is so refreshing to see something that isn't glossy or refined, but beautiful in its simplicity. Many of these works look as though they could have been created with 10 year old technology, yet there is something still refreshing about the result.
