This event is dedicated to the genre of noise. Some artists will be performing strictly noise based sets while others may be introducing noise to already known music styles. Each artist has a creative and fresh approach to music and this night will be defiantly exciting. (earplugs will be available if you do not come equipped.)

Featuring (order not set):

Ten Thousand Miles of Arteries (Chicago)

His brand of noise is consistent and challenging. For fans of power electronics.

White Rose/Lincoln Johns (Chicago)

White Rose and Lincoln Johns are both experimental projects from 1980 Records founder, Bill Tucker. White Rose will be performing a short set of improv noise inspired by avant jazz and harsh noise. Lincoln Johns debuts Chicago at EAS6 with instrumental songs that range from dark non musical sounds to more subdued floral movements.

Experimental Artist Series #5

Saturday, January 15
8pm
$5 suggested donation (for artists)

Jeb's ability to convey the spirit of Chicago's neighborhoods through his rare and connected breed of improvisational jazz has strength in it's imagery. This trio consists of bassist Jason Roebke and drummer Frank Rosaly and they are like a moving exhibit of photo's by a seasoned photo journalist. Jeb's trio will take you through a walk of each corner and you'll never see this city the same again.

We'll admit it: we hoard art supplies. Its so hard to pass up something that could potentially be used to create a masterpiece, but we realized we've gone a little overboard. Originally we planned on using these supplies for workshops and classes, but we're running out of room in our basement to store them all. That's where you come in! Stop by the gallery and get great deals on new and used art and craft supplies. Some are vintage (like fabric), some are traditional (like paint brushes and paint), and some might even be considered trash (like boxes of bendable straws) but we think its all useful for something (like making something special for that special someone for the Holidays). First come first serve so come early!

Beyond Art School Free Informational Session

Saturday November 6, 11:00am
We are holding an informational session for anyone interested in our portfolio builder course or white-wall installation options.
