new works by Kyle Harter

August 28 - September 26 2009

Kyle Harter is an artist and illustrator on the move.  His work consists of woodcuts, paintings and illustrations depicting whimsical, erratic, mischievous characters that seem to be discovering themselves and their world as we are simultaneously discovering them. In his comics, Harter keeps the same quirky illustration style accompanied by themes of political and nonsensical humor. As Harter gets ready to move out of the country for a year he is motivated and eager to communicate the idea of "adventure" in his new works. He calls on this idea by mixing media, choosing vibrant colors and using common settings placed with not so common participants.
