We are building something. We don't know what it is. Each week we will be given a new set of instructions on how to build this mystery object. We're dusting off our rulers, rolling up our sleeves, and interacting with our space as we never have before. The process will become the exhibit as we flex our ability to interpret instructions and collaborate on a single vision.
Our mystery object is part of a ongoing project developed by Caro d'Offay called Textaport. Caro's website defines Textaport as: "Teleportation through Text. Each Textaport project provides a page or more of text describing how to construct something. The text is both informative and misleading so that the participant is able to see an ordinary thing as someone with demensia or amnesia or an alien might perceive it. If someone could write about what it's like in the in-between state of being teleported from one location to another it would likely be like Textaport." To see other Textaport projects and get a better understanding of this process, check out Caro's website.
Below is some of the documentation from this process, including a video created by the Textaport team of clips from our 24/7 webcam (to see more clips you can go to our justin.tv page)
